El club beca esta temporada a 61 jóvenes dentro de la Cátedra Endavant Villarreal CF

The club has awarded grants to 61 young people this season as part of the Cátedra Endavant Villarreal CF.

Villarreal CF, through its Endavant Formació project and the Cátedra Endavant, has awarded grants to elite sportsmen and women at the Jaume I University in a ceremony attended by Villarreal CF ambassador Marcos Senna.

For this academic year, the Yellows have awarded a total of 61 grants to athletes from the public university, 30 women and 31 men. These grants began in the 2012/13 academic year, and since then 391 grants have been awarded to sportsmen and women studying at the Jaume I University. The cumulative total of this investment is now close to 250,000 Euros and since the first endowment of 15,000 Euros in 2012, it has increased to the current amount of 30,000 Euros per year, which has been maintained since the 2016/17 academic year.

Up to 16 different sports are practised by the grant holders, with athletics being the most represented (24).

The grants have a double objective: on the one hand, to reward the academic performance of university sports students based on the average of their academic record and, on the other hand, to value their high performance in the field of sport, taking into account their activity or results in a specific sporting modality. They also aim to finance part of the expenses incurred by the study of the regulated degrees in which the student athletes are enrolled.

The Cátedra Endavant, created through an agreement between the UJI and Villarreal CF in 2015, although the collaboration between the two entities began in 2012, has as general objectives the promotion of training, research, dissemination of knowledge and innovation in the field of sport, as well as the promotion of sport practice and competition among university students through training scholarships.
