Villarreal joins the charity scheme donating the signed shirts their footballers wore against Osasuna
Villarreal joined the other clubs in the top two flights of Spanish football in taking part in a charity fundraising auction organised by LaLiga, in collaboration with UD Las Palmas and CD Tenerife.
The Yellows have donated their signed shirts to help those affected by the volcano eruption in La Palma, with the funds raised from the auction going to help the needs of those in La Palma.
The online auction is done via MatchWornShirt, which has large experience in charity actions like this, having worked with more than 160 football clubs across Europe, including 14 sides in LaLiga. The aim of this campaign will be to raise as much money as possible through the auction of shirts of players from this LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank matchday.
The auction started with the starting whistle and will last for 20 days, until 3rd November. During the next few days, there will be a campaign to give visibility to the auction, both nationally and internationally.
