Villarreal CF will celebrate a very special event in Buenos Aires with ex-players from Argentina

Villarreal CF will make the most of the trip to Argentina at the start of the month of August to celebrate a series of events prior to the spectacular friendly match that will take place against CA Boca Juniors at ‘La Bombonera’ (Wednesday 2nd August). All with the support and collaboration of LaLiga.

One of the most special events will reunite a great number of ex-Argentinean Yellows on Tuesday 1st August. The celebration will take place at the Sala Posadas in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Buenos Aires and will kick off at 7:30pm GMT-3. In fact, more than ten ex-Villarreal players have already confirmed their attendance to this event that will have an impact worldwide.

The event will consist of a discussion panel in front of the media in which their will be representation from the Villarreal board of directors, LaLiga and some of Villarreal CF’s ex-players from Argentina.

The event will also be attended by the current Villarreal CF First Team squad, coaching staff, the club’s board of directors, representatives from LaLiga, authorities and members of the Yellows expedition that will travel to Buenos Aires with the team.

Juampi Sorín, a very special presenter

The man in charge of presenting the event will be ex-Villarreal player and former captain of the Argentina national team, Juampi Sorín. The ex-international, who represented the Submarine for the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons, is currently working in media as a commentator for ESPN. Sorín, who played a total of 60 matches for Villarreal CF and scored 8 goals, will be interviewing some of his former teammates.

All accreditations for this spectacular event will be managed by the Villarreal CF Press Department. Thus, the media that would like to cover this event can apply for accreditations at the following email address: prensa@villarrealcf.es. The deadline for requests is Saturday 29th July (until 2pm). Journalists that do attend the event will be able to ask questions to those on the panel and conduct exclusive interviews.
