Rodrigo Alonso, Jordi Ortega, Alejandro Jiménez and Jorge Pascual will represent their country in April
Spain U16s have called up four Villarreal CF youngsters. The Yellows youth-team players Rodrigo Alonso, Jordi Ortega, Alejandro Jiménez and Jorge Pascual will represent La Roja this month.
Alonso, who plays for our U18s (Juvenil B), will take part in the Mondial Football Montaigu, a tournament that will take part in France from 14th to 23rd April. The national side will face France, Brazil and Mexico in the opening stage.
Ortega, Jiménez and Pascual will join up with the national side for the UEFA U16 Development Tournament that will take part in Belgrade (Serbia) from 15th to 21st April. Spain U16s will face Ecuador, Serbia and Slovakia.
The tournaments the Yellows Academy youngsters will be involved with are as follows:
47 Mondial Football Montaigu (Rodrigo Alonso):
- Spain vs France: Tuesday, 16th April at 7pm CEST (Montaigu).
- Spain vs Brazil: Thursday, 18th April at 7pm CEST (Montaigu).
- Spain vs Mexico: Saturday, 20th April at 6pm CEST (Montaigu).
- Match to determine final place in tournament: Monday, 22nd April, TBC (Montaigu).
UEFA U16 Development Tournament (Jordi Ortega, Alejandro Jiménez and Jorge Pascual):
- Spain vs Ecuador: Tuesday, 16th April at 12pm CEST (Belgrade).
- Serbia vs Spain: Thursday, 18th April at 2:15pm CEST (Belgrade).
- Slovakia vs Spain: Saturday, 20th April at 12:15pm CEST (Belgrade).
