Turkish forward Enes Ünal talks about his spectacular performance against Atlético Madrid
Two goals worth three golden points. Villarreal CF’s Turkish striker, Enes Ünal, was the hero of the match against Atlético Madrid at the Estadio de la Cerámica. Two of his goals in the final minutes of the game swung the result in the Yellows’ favour (2-1) to give them a hugely important three points.
Enes Ünal described it like this: “The first goal was from a corner kick. I went to the back post and as I was offside I moved a bit to the right. In that moment my defenders lost me and I was able to get my head on the ball. When I saw Álvaro’s cross come in I thought it could be a goal because it came perfectly and I just had to change the direction of the ball. The second was simply smell. I was in the right place to get on the end of it and send it into the back of the net”.
