Yenifer Giménez, Paola Soldevila, Cristina Cubedo, Rocío García, Raquel Morcillo and Queralt Gómez leave the Yellows
Six more Villarreal Women players will be leaving the club. Yenifer Giménez, Paola Soldevila, Cristina Cubedo, Rocío García, Raquel Morcillo and Queralt Gómez have left the Submarine, joining Elena de Toro, Pancha Lara, Claudia Iglesias, María Llompart, Fatou Kanteh and Thaís Reiss.
Yenifer Gimenez leaves Villarreal Women with 84 appearances to her name in four different seasons. The Venezuelan defender was one of four players from last season’s squad who were involved in the promotion to the first division in the 2020/21 campaign.
Paola Soldevila ends her time at Villarreal CF having been a vital player in the three seasons that the club has been in Liga F, the top flight of Spanish women’s football. In total, she has played 89 league games out of a possible 90, as well as four more Copa de la Reina matches.
Cristina Cubedo, for her part, leaves the club after two seasons as a Yellow, having played a total of 37 games in the Liga F and one in the Copa de la Reina.
Forward Rocío García, who has been hampered by a long-term injury, ends her time at the Submarino Amarillo after 14 appearances in the last two seasons.
Raquel Morcillo and Queralt Gómez also leave the Yellow Submarine after arriving at the club in the summer transfer window and playing in 27 and nine games respectively during the 2023-24 season.
