Miguel Álvarez underlined that the team need to try and continue to play well at home against the Catalan side (Saturday, 5pm CET)

Villarreal B head coach Miguel Álvarez appeared in front of the media this Friday to analyse the upcoming match against CE Sabadell at the Mini Estadi (Saturday, 5pm CET).

In the press conference, he underlined that he expects a tough match against the Catalan side, who are in good form: “It will be a tough match. You only have to see CE Sabadell’s stats. They’ve got 23 points from their last 11 matches. They’re a team who score a lot of goals and concede few.”

Desspite the difficulty of the match, Álvarez underlined that his team has personality and are hard to beat: “At home, we’re trying to find our usual level and not give the opponents anything. When we’re ourselves, and we don’t gift anything, we’re a team who are hard to beat. With the numbers that they have, we can’t give them anything. We need to make things hard for them.”

Regarding absences, the Villarreal B head coach confirmed the absences of certain important footballers for the Mini Submarine: “Ramón Bueno got injured against Albacete and Alberto del Moral saw his fifth yellow card. Nicolas Jackson was sent off after the game.” However, he did add that Carlo Adriano and Pablo Iñiguez will return.

Finally he called on the fans to head to the Mini Estadi to support Villarreal B: “We always want to give the fans motives to come to the Mini Estadi. We want to put on a good performance for fans to come and help us.”
