The young Colombian forward is being loaned from Atlético de Madrid
Villarreal CF and Atlético de Madrid have come to an agreement for the loan of Rafael Santos Borré, who will play for the Submarine for this season. The loan does not offer a buying stake for the player. The young footballer will be present at the Butarque stadium this evening to watch his new team mates against Leganés (8:30pm CET) and subsequently will travel to Vila-real with the rest of the Yellows squad.
Rafael Santos Borré (15/09/95, Barranquilla, Colombia) made his professional debut at only 17 years old for Deportivo Cali and in 2015 was signed for Atlético de Madrid, although last season he returned to play for Deportivo Cali on loan.
The Colombian striker stands out for having a special talent for scoring goals. He has a tremendous eye for goal in the opposing penalty area which has led him to represent Colombia U20s and even to be called up for his Senior national side. He is strong, skilful and has a great right footed strike. These are the main characteristics of Villarreal’s new signing. Welcome Santos Borré!
