The Villarreal striker will be in the Italy squad for matches against Spain and Macedonia
The Italy national team has called up Villarreal player, Nicola Sansone, for matches against Spain (Juventus Stadium, Turin, 8:45pm) and Macedonia (National Arena Filipo II, Skopje, 8:45pm) on Thursday 6th and Sunday 9th October repectively.
The Yellows striker will pick up his third cap for his Senior national team, for which he made his debut in May 2015 against Portugal (0-1 win for Portugal). Nevertheless, Sansone has a long history with the the Italy national youth teams, representing his country from U17s up to U21s.
With Sansone, there are now seven Yellows set to go on international duty
The Yellow Submarine squad has seven players called up to their national teams as Sansone (Italy) joins Bakambu (RD Congo), Castillejo (Spain U21), Jonathan (Mexico), Jokic (Slovenia), Musacchio (Argentina) and Rukavina (Serbia). Likewise, Villarreal B team defender, Edgar Ié, has also been called up for Portugal U21s.
