The Villarreal president has thanked the 17,173 season-ticket holders who renewed their passes for their belief
The presentation of the 2021/22 Villarreal CF season-ticket campaign took place at midday today at El Ceramista, the new restaurant located at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The Yellows president, Fernando Roig, underlined how exciting this sweet moment is for the fans that the club is living after winning its first title: “We are champions of Europe and on 11th August we are going to play in the Super Cup against Chelsea. We have to enjoy these moments.” In this way, Roig announced that Villarreal expect to have a record number of season-ticket holders this coming season: “People are so excited after having gone 400 days without live football. We’ve seen that in the Euros, above all in countries such as Hungary. At Villarreal we are going to enjoy a fantastic season in the Champions League. We have more than 16,000 season-ticket holders and from there it’ll keep going up.”
In addition, it should be noted that, if no setbacks arise, “the expectations are to be able to attend the first game. We are going to have the best fans”, the president emphasized, who took advantage to “thank the 17,173 season-ticket holders that believed in the project with the uncertainty that there was, which then became a complete uncertainty meaning we weren’t allowed to enter stadiums at all.” For this reason, Villarreal CF has rewarded these loyal supporters.
