The final took part in the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real, coinciding with the fiestas in the town
Groc Talent now has a winner. Red Smoke won in the final of the musical competition organised by Villarreal CF, with support from Vila-real Council’s Tourist Board, within the club’s Endavant Cultura initiative. The event took place this Saturday at the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real, coinciding with the fiestas in the town.
Red Smoke are a pop-rock group from Castellón, formed in 2017, made up of Alejandra Meléndez (lead singer), Marc Prieto (guitarist and singer), Guillem Jovaní (drummer and singer), Noel Beltrán (bassist) and Ismael Gimeno (guitarist and singer). Red Smoke’s live shows combine cover versions and their own songs. Their vast catalogue of songs makes them one of the leading rock groups in the rovince of Castellón.
There were three acts taking part in the final: Red Smoke, Filibert and Trébede Music. After an afternoon of good music, the jury (made up of Roberto Recuero, organisational director of Sonde3 festivals; Marcos Senna, Villarreal CF ambassador; and Diego Vila, councillor for fiestas, tourism and congresses in Vila-real) determined that Red Smoke were the winner, giving the group the chance to perform at the next edition of the SanSan Festival in Benicàssim on 29th October.
All of the participants received a personalised Villarreal CF shirt, as well as passes to attend SanSan Festival.
