The striker from Jaén joins Sara Monforte’s side and brings experience for the Yellows’ first season in the top flight

Villarreal CF has reached an agreement to sign attacker Raquel Pinel for Villarreal CF Women for the 2021/22 season. The footballer comes as a free agent after playing for Sevilla FC for the last three and a half seasons.

Pinel is the fourth reinforcement for Sara Monforte’s squad after the previously announced signings of Nerea Pérez, Tere Morató and Pamela Tajonar.

Experience and intelligence up front

Raquel Pinel Sáez (30/08/1994) is a player who has lots of experience in the First Division and will therefore be a great addition to women’s first team as they embark on their first season in the top flight. The attacker from Jaén played a total of 88 matches for Sevilla between league and cup games, scoring a total of 18 goals. Previously, Pinel has played for Real Jaén, Sporting de Huelva, Valencia Féminas CF, Sant Gabriel and Aldaia.

What’s more, she has also represented the Spanish national team at youth level, winning two European titles with the U17s (2010 and 2011) and a bronze medal at the World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago with the U17s (2010).
