The Catalan player comes to Villarreal Women as a free agent to strengthen the Yellows defence until 2025
Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with Queralt Gómez who will wear Yellow for Villarreal Women until 2025. The Catalan centre-back comes as a free agent after playing at Apollon Ladies Football Club last season.
Fort he Cyprus club, Queralt Gómez lifted the trophy for the Cyprus Women’s First Division. Despite playing as a defender, the Barcelona native’s attacking numbers are impressive, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists.
A centre-back with an eye for goal and lots of class
Queralt Gómez Sariol (27/05/1997), from Mollet del Vallés (Barcelona), is a footballer who stands out for her great ability to play out from the back and will undoubtedly contribute consistency to the Yellows back line. Before her adventure in Cyprus, she played for RCD Espanyol B, FC Barcelona B, CF Igualada, CE Seagull (who she helped get promoted to Reto Iberdrola) and SD Eibar who she played for in the top flight of Spanish women’s football.
