The Villarreal defender highlighted the superiority of the Yellows against a solid Athletic Club
Yellows defender Rubén Peña appeared in front of the Villarreal TV microphones to analyse the draw with Athletic Club: “We were in control of the game. We looked good with the ball and we had the clearest goalscoring chances during the game. The draw leaves a bittersweet taste in our mouth, but we’re satisfied with how the team is playing.”
The right-back recognised that the side from Bilbao put in a good defensive performance: “Athletic are a solid team. We knew that they were going to make it tough. They focused on defensive work and they tried to win the game through counter-attacks or set pieces.”
