The Yellows defender underlined that Villarreal will go into the historic game in Gdansk full of excitement
Villarreal defender Alfonso Pedraza appeared in front of the media to analyse the current situation for the Yellows, ahead of their game with Manchester United this Wednesday, corresponding to the UEFA Europa League final, at the Gdansk Stadium.
The Yellows defender underlined that the Submarine are going into the game at a good time, and are excited: “We’re going into the final in one of the best moments for us of the season. Despite the defeat, we played well against Real Madrid. We’re full of excitement going into the final. We know what’s behind everything. The dream of a town, of a support and of a club, who dream of being champions.”
Pedraza also underlined that despite the size of the club they are facing, Villarreal will give 100% to try and lift the title: “In a final, you never know what could happen. They are the favourites, but we have knocked out big teams. We ask our fans to get behind us, because we will give 100% to try and win the title.”
The left-sided player underlined that the Submarine will stay loyal to their ideas, and try and take their chances: “We will be loyal to our idea that have taken us to the final. We’ve dominated. We’ve performed well so far this tournament, we haven’t lost any games and we want to continue like that. We know that the game is a final, that we will have our chances and we need to make the most of our opportunities.”
The Yellows No.24 warned about the danger of Manchester United: “They’re a team who can be direct. They have a lot of quality in midfield and up front. We will try and limit their skills and cause them problems. We’ve prepared well for the game. It’s a final and anything can happen.”
