The left-sided player has extended his ties to the club until 2025
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Alfonso Pedraza to extend his contract. The left-sided player, who had one year left on his current deal, extends his ties with the Yellows until 2025.
After spending last season on loan at Real Betis, the Andalusian player has returned to Villarreal to help Unai Emery with his versatility. He can play both at full-back and as a winger, and has been named in the starting XI for the first two LaLiga games this season.
Aged just 24, the footballer has represented the first team 52 times, scoring four goals and providing five assists. He has also played on loan at Real Betis (21 games), Deportivo Alavés (37 games), CD Lugo (23 games) and Leeds United (14 games).
A player formed in the Yellows Academy
The left-footed player, made in the Yellows Academy, joined the Villarreal CF youth setup in 2011, from Séneca CF. In the Yellows’ youth setup, he shone as one of the brightest prospects in Spanish football. With Villarreal U19s (Juvenil A), he shone, winning the league championship and the Copa de Campeones. That season, aged just 18, he made his first-team debut against Valencia CF at Mestalla.
Next season, he joined Villarreal B, where he shone in a team that finished second in the league and was involved in the promotion play-offs to Segunda División.
