

The virtual tournament will bring together LaLiga, NBA and NFL players across the weekend
LaLiga North America, Uninterrupted and Women’s International Champions Cups have managed to bring together stars from LaLiga, NBA, NFL and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the eSports Kick Covid FIFA20 tournament. This competition will take part on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, with the aim of raising funds for the NGO Feeding America to fight the impact of the coronavirus. Defender Pau Torres will be representing Villarreal CF, and he will have NBA player John Collins from the Atlanta Hawks as his team-mate.
Other LaLiga teams, such as Sevilla FC (Munir), Atlético Madrid (Morata), Getafe (Nyom), Real Betis (Borja Iglesias), Valencia CF (Gayá) and Real Sociedad (Isak) will take part. There will also be a LaLiga team, led by Fernando Morientes. They will all be accompanied by NBA and NFL stars.
The Kick COVID tournament is the first event where American sporting figures will play alongside LaLiga stars. A total of 16 athletes from LaLiga, the NFL, the NBA and NWSL will compete against each other in FIFA20 team format.immy Conrad (Former USMNT, MLS Star, LaLiga Anchor and EA gamer) moderating the gameplay along with Melissa Ortiz (Colombia WNT and Olympic Athlete) and featuring special participation by Phil Schoen (sportscaster featured on ABC, ESPN, Fox Sports, beIN Sports, and SiriusXM) and Kevin Egan (CNN commentator and e-sports host).
The Kick COVID tournament brings fans and countries together in one event, with the participation of LaLiga, NFL, NBA and NWSL stars playing alongside each other. You will be able to see the players’ faces and listen to their audio, to allow fans a behind-the-scenes intimate feel to the tournament, as well as hear the conversations of the athletes and see their playing style. Those taking part will donate to Feeding America during the tournament, and fans can also do so too during the competition.
The matches start at 7pm CET

They will also be on the YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages for Uniterrupted, the ICC’s social networks, and more than 30 LaLiga international broadcasters. Games start at 7pm CET.

The Kick COVID two-day tournament will feature eight, two-person teams comprised of one LaLiga player and one NFL, NBA or NWSL player, paired together. With three knockout rounds, each team will play two 12-minute matches with aggregated score between both matches determining the winner – with a total of 14 matches.
