Pau Francisco Torres will this Sunday, in the build-up to the match against Sevilla FC, receive the ASISA Healthiest Player award from the 2021/22 season. The ASISA regional director for the Region of Valencia, Dr. Gómez-Ferrer, will give him the award on the pitch in the build-up to the match at the Ciutat de València (Sunday, 4:15pm CEST).

Last season, Pau was the Villarreal player who featured in the most minutes in a demanding campaign where the Submarine reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. The centre-back played a total of 4,416 minutes in 47 matches, scoring six goals.

The Yellows No.4 has become a role model at the back. Formed in the Yellows Academy from the age of five, he won the UEFA Europa League with Villarreal in Gdansk and is already regularly called up by the Spanish national team. The defender also won a Silver Medal at the Olympic Games, becoming the first athlete born in Vila-real to win an Olympic medal.
