The Catalan player has signed a two-year contract extension with Villarreal Women
Villarreal CF and Paola Soldevila de la Pisa (07/12/1996, Porrera, Tarragona) have reached an agreement for the Catalan player to continue playing for the club for two more seasons. Soldevila will remain linked to the Yellows until 30th June 2026.
Paola Soldevila joined Villarreal Women in the 2021/22 campaign with the mission of helping the yellow team to fight in the highest division of Spanish women’s football. Since then, the Catalan has become a leader in the dressing room, being the player with the most minutes on the pitch of the entire squad.
Evidence of her effectiveness
In her first season, Soldevila played in all 30 league games, starting 28 of them and playing a total of 2,546 minutes. Following on from that, the Catalan played 2,560 minutes in 29 Liga F games last season and, in the current 2023/24 season, she has played 1,066 minutes in 12 Liga F matches.
Soldevila is now the player who has played the most minutes and matches between First Division and Copa de la Reina with Villarreal Women, with 75 matches and more than 6,000 minutes under her belt.
It is also worth remembering that the Catalan was the Villarreal Women’s player who made the most successful passes (939) and recovered the most balls (62) and, in the current campaign, she once again leads the list of passes made (420) and is the player who has recovered the second most balls (21).
