Paco López: “It will be a difficult and exciting derby”

The Villareal B team Manager analyses the upcoming tie vs Valencia Mestalla (Sunday, 12pm)

The Villarreal B team will host Valencia Mestalla in a thrilling derby between two teams expected to be at the top of the table in Group III of the Second Division B (Sunday, 12pm CET).

The Yellows Reserves Manager, Paco López, said that it will be a well fought match: “Every time we play against Mestalla it’s a difficult and exciting match. We want to continue with this positive dynamic at the Mini Estadi. The team is getting stronger and stronger. We want to play well and win”.

When analyzing their opponents, Paco López emphasized the Valencia side’s strengths: “Mestalla have started well with regard to the reserve teams in the league. They’ve signed experienced and quality players like Grego Sierra and Eugeni and have kept important players like Quim Araujo and Aridai”.

The Mini Submarine Manager also analyzed his team’s performance so far this season: “We are commiting many errors at the back, which is stopping us from getting better results. We have to correct these mistakes and be more competitive”.

“We’ve changed a lot in comparison to last season and this is the price we have to pay. The team has shown that they are better than their opponents in many areas of the game and we have also been scoring goals, but definitely less than we’ve deserved. There are moments when we’ve got to move away from our style of play a bit and play tighter and more together with a bit more balance”, he finished.

Remember you can watch the match LIVE on Villarreal CF Live and the Televisión de Castellón Mediterráneo channel at 12pm (match preview from 11:30pm).
