Unai Emery congratulated his team for their great performance at Ipurua
Villarreal head coach Unai Emery appeared in front of the media to analyse the Submarine’s win over Eibar (1-3). The Basque manager underlined that the win at Ipurua reinforces his team’s hard work to overturn the negative run of results: “It’s a win that is very good for us. It helps us return to the path we were on, and is a pay-off for the work we’ve been doing. We had gone a lot of games without winning in LaLiga. We were self-critical, but we had been doing some things well, but small details were punishing us, as well as some absentees too.”
Emery also used the moment to congratulate his players for their performance: “It’s time to say well done to everyone. There are players like Funes Mori, Foyth and Bacca who put in a great game and come out of it stronger. We have to continue improving as a team to reach our aims. This win gives us oxygen, and we need to continue like this.”
