Villarreal have premiered the documentary about the UEFA Europa League win at the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real
Villarreal CF have premiered the ‘Our final’ (La final de nuestras vidas) documentary, which is about the Yellows’ historical win in the UEFA Europa League. Hundreds of fans were in attendance at the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real to enjoy the spectacular film which the club has prepared with exclusive images from the best moments from last season in Europe.
The event, which took place thanks to a collaboration with Vila-real Town Council, paid tribute to the excellent season where the Submarine lifted their first UEFA Europa League. It was also the perfect build-up to the UEFA Super Cup that Villarreal will face this Wednesday against Chelsea FC in Belfast (Windsor Park, 9pm CEST).
The screening of the documentary film was attended by Villarreal president Fernando Roig, vice-president José Manuel Llaneza and CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles. Vila-real mayor José Benlloch was also in attendance, as well as a number of local authority figures, Yellows legend Marcos Senna and APV (Official Villarreal CF Supporters Group) president Javier Pérez.
‘Our final’, a gift for the fans
After a spectacular premiere at the Plaza Mayor in Vila-real, the Yellows will distribute the documentary free of charge among its season-ticket holders, who will need to fill in a basic form to be able to download it and have an great memory of Villarreal’s historic UEFA Europa League win.

After the spectacular premiere of the ‘Our final’ documentary, Villarreal had the best end to the ceremony with a big surprise: the announcement of Gerard Moreno’s contract extension until 2027. Emulating the famous television programme The Masked Singer, the Catalan striker dressed up as Groguet – the Villarreal mascot – before revealing his true identity to announce to the fans that he will continue writing history as a Yellow
