Villarreal B Manager, Paco López, says the Reserves should stay on the same track, playing good football

The Villarreal B team Manager, Paco López, explained today that, after the great show the Yellows put on against Sabadell giving them their first league win, the Reserves are full of confidence going into their match against UE Llagostera (Sunday, 5pm CET, Nou Estadi de Palamós), one of the strongest teams in Group III of the Second Division B. “We needed the win for our confidence, for the three points and to do it the way we did, which was a continuation of what we’d been doing in our last matches. Our aim is to keep playing good football because we believe that’s the best way to win games and we’re going into this next one with all the enthusiasm in the world”.

The Manager highlighted his team’s great attitude against Sabadell, after coming back from a goal down. “Of course all of this just makes the team even more competitive, we were able to come back from the adversity we faced and turn the game around against last weekend’s opponents. This just goes to show that the team has confidence in the work we’re doing”.

With regard to this weekend’s rival, the Manager of the Mini Submarine knows it will be a tough match against one of the best teams in the league: “Llagostera have strengthened their side to to get promoted after being relegated into our league. They have good players, with a lot of experience and they’ve put a side together to get them back to the Second Division A. Despite this, we have a team that can give them a run for their money”.

Paco López also emphasised the equality of their league: “At the end of the day, we know this is the same for every game, that every team has their strengths and will be tough to beat, but our team is strong enough to win at any ground. You do have to have that bit of luck, but we’re ready. We know this league and the competition is always very evenly matched. It’s hard to win matches, you always have to be at 100% and have maximum concentration as we’ve seen in previous matches” he concluded.

For Sunday’s match, Paco López will not be able to count on injured players Anton Shvets, Carlos López and Leo Suárez.
