The Villarreal goalkeeper assures the team will fight in the next three games to try to win positions in the table
Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo says regarding the remainder of the season, the team will try to win the three remaining games and try to finish as high as possible, starting with the next opponent, Sevilla (Sunday, 19:00h Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium): “at the end of the season, it is difficult to be as performant physically, but there are still three crucial matches and we will do everything we can to overtake Real Sociedad in the table.”
Asenjo also talked about the next match Villarreal plays against Sevilla, ensuring that they want to maintain the level shown against Barca: “the Sevillans come from a flawless run, but I think we did a great job against Barcelona and we will try to show that we can win the three points. It is true that lately we’re not getting good results away but I think if we play like we know we are a tough opponent.”
The keeper has also referred to the last game of the Submarine against Barcelona where in his opinion, yellows did a good job despite the bitter result. “The team deserved much more, though it seemed that everything was against us. We have to keep in mind all the positive aspects of that game and reflect it in the pitch in the coming matches. “
