The Submarines are continuing to build their squad for the next season, 2013-2014, where the team will be playing top flight Spanish football. Villarreal has reached an agreement with the Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantic, to play at Villarreal FC for the next 3 years. Until now, the footballer has spent 3 years playing for Belgrade’s Red Star who had a great season under the ex player Robert Prosinecki.
Aleksander Pantic was born in Arandelovac, Serbia in April 1992. Despite being young, has had extensive experience in high level football. Born 80 kilometres from Belgrade, his career thus far has been focused exclusively in the Serbian capital. He debuted in the Super League for FK Rad who is a middle league team, playing in over twenty matches.
In 2012-2013 the defender caught the attention of the Red Star’s, the institutional partisan football team. He arranged a deal a little way into the season and quickly settled in and played 13 games for the Red and White’s. He also represented his country in the u-21’s team, where he played 12 games for Serbia.
He is a young player with a lot of potential, who has proved himself to be versatile and a great defender, who is known for his great placement on the pitch.
