Madger, Vega, Guerra and Aleix played for Spain in the UEFA under 16's tournament.

The footballers from Villarreal's youth team; Magder Gomes, Arnau Vega, Ramiro Guerra y Aleix García, all played in the UEFA under 16's International Tournament for the Spanish selection. This made Villarreal the most represented team, with four of its players making the International side. The four boys have gradually become part of the fabric of the team that finished the tournament undefeated, beating Italy (3-1), the Czech Republic (2-0) and France (1-0).

Aleix García became one of the stars of the show. The boy from Tarragona was in the starting eleven versus Italy, and scored the first goal for Spain, as well as scoring in the game against France. Arnau Veg, the Valencian, played the full 90 minutes in games against Italy and France and also played in the match against the Czech Republic. Madger was in the starting eleven against the Czechs and played in the second half against Italy but was unfortunately unable to play against France due to a bruised knee. Ramiro Guerra played against Italy and was also a substitute against the Czech Republic.
