The mithical Asturian player comes back to the Submarine next season. Javi Venta, whose contract with Levante UD expires this season, returns to the club where he played during eleven seasons.
Javier Rodríguez Venta (Pola de Siero, December 13th 1975) signed for Villarreal CF during the 1999-2000 season from the Gimnástica Torrelavega club, even though he played for Onda (Villarreal's second team at that time) during his first season. During the 00-01 season he played on loan with Racing de Ferrol and during the 01-02 with Tenerife, playing around 70 matches with both teams.
He was finally back with the Submarine on the 2002-2003, playing during eight straight seasons. His courage made him a regular starter in the Yellow roster and one of the all-time favorites of Villarreal fans.
In total, Venta has played over 200 matches (182 La Liga matches) with the Yellow team. His official presentation will take place moments before Sunday's upcoming match. Starting at 7.30, Villarreal B closes its season in La Liga Adelante.
