Villarreal needs at least one point to secure its place in the Spanish Primera

The Submarine will be playing the season's most important match today. Avoiding relegation to Segunda is at stake during this final match, receiving the visit of Atlético de Madrid at El Madrigal (8 pm Spanish time GMT+1). The Red and Whites have recently won the Europa League title this past Wednesday, beating Athletic in the final. Lotina's men are only one point away from achieving the goal, for if the team manages to draw, there won't be any need to look at the scores of the other teams involved in the fight to stay in Primera. Despite this fact, the team is only focused on winning so the players and fans can enjoy the last minutes together. The stadium will be crowded with fans, there are no tickets left, on the same weekend the traditional Saint Paschal festivities in Vila-real take place.

For this match, Lotina won't be able to count on Rossi and Martinuccio, both injured, and De Guzmán who is suspended for yellow card accumulation. On the other hand, up to four players are back on the team. Senna and Cani are over their injuries and Marchena and César are no longer suspended.
