Villarreal CF have once more shown their most generous of sides, collaborating with the EUTM-Somalia project, through Endavant Solidaritat. The Yellows have donated sporting clothes and material for this mission, which, carried out by the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces, in co-operation with the European Union, aims to train the Somalian Armed Forces to fight terrorism and piracy.

Aside from the military work, the Spanish contingent is also involved in social, cultural and sporting development in the city of Mogadishu, where Villarreal CF’s donations will be handed out to help encourage sport in the region.

The ceremony where the donation was handed over took place this Thursday at the Estadio de la Cerámica Square, with the presence of Marcos Senna, former Villarreal CF captain and current member of the club’s Institutional Relations Department; and the subdelegate for defence in Castellón, Javier Ferrer.
