A triumph for all the team. Villarreal CF head coach Unai Emery underlined that the win against Alavés came from hard work and he highlighted his satisfaction at the level showed by his side: "We have to be capable of playing in different systems. We put Iborra, Manu, Parejo and Moi together, and they're all very good with the ball. On a general level, the team pleased me. We competed and Alavés only had real chances from set pieces. Their goal came from an error. In the second half I liked that we were controlling the game, but we made two more mistakes. We need to continue working hard."
Paco Alcácer and Gerard Moreno scored Villarreal's goals and so far this season, they are the only two players to have scored for the Yellows in the league: "I like goals to be shared between all the players, but it is true that strikers live off goals. We're generating chances and that's the path we should be following. I'm satisfied with the work from all the team. I need to hail the work of every player. Even those who came on at the end were very good so Alavés didn't have chances. Brilliance is also in teamwork," concluded Emery.
