Hard work pays off. The CVF eSports side will play in the Grand Final of eLaLiga Santander this weekend, where the 16 best national EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 players will compete online. Villarreal will be represented by Ralfitita, who got through the qualifying stage in eighth place.
The winner of the Grand Final will lift the trophy virtuall and will receive a cash prize of €40,000. eLaLiga Santander is the national eSports league which hands out the biggest economic prizes, more than €100,000 every year.
Rafael Riobó (Ralfitita) is excited ahead of this challenge: "I'm going into it full of excitement and keen to do well. They're unforgettable experiences you go away with, not only for playing, but because of all the tension the final stage has, as well as having your team-mates supporting you. I'm really excited and hope to do as well as possible."
The FIFA 20 CVF eSports player isn't putting any limits on how far he can go, but he prefers to keep himself grounded. "My aim since I've been competing has always been to win. That's why I work hard every day and prepare myself mentally. I don't see myself playing to not win, so I trust myself and hope to be in the final. You're playing against very talented players and it's hard, but it can be done. Now in the Grand Final, the aim is to go step by step, getting through the rounds, to get to the final and win. I always see the final as something that is very far away, I prefer to focus on my next opponent and not think beyond the next game."
