The U11 side with real camaraderie

23 / 03 / 2020

The young players have improved their results with camaraderie as their biggest strength

"What are we? A team. Who are we? Villarreal. What are we going to do? Win, win and win." This is the war cry of a team. One of our U11 sides (Alevín D), like all of the Yellows Academy teams, are currently not in action due to the break in activity. They'll definitely be missing it, as their players and coaching staff are a real tight-knit group.

"They're a good group of people which helps our job a lot. The boys are really committed and you can tell that in each training session," says one of the coaches, Víctor Marín, who is helped on the coaching staff by Josep Cerezo.

The Alevín D are in Group 1 of the 'Alevín de Primer Año de Castellón' (Castellón U11) league. The results are the least important thing. What is most important is the development of the players, both as footballers and personally. "Above everything, we say to them that they need to be caring and think about their team-mates. It's important to create a good group of people, and from that base to grow, both as players and people," underlines Marín.

In fact, since the start of the season, the team has grown substantially. "The players are very aware of what they need to do when we have the ball, and also when we don't. The concepts are clear," concludes the coach. The Alevín D are a growing team.

The players who make up the team are: Héctor Carmona Cortés, Marc Soler Rubert, Manolo Rubert Colonques, Pascual Girona Montblanc, Sebastian Gabriel Sasu, Vicent Climent Moliner, Pablo Sainz de Baranda Poveda, Xavi Sanjuán Rodríguez, Héctor Puchol Suárez, Ferran Barreda Salado, Carlos Arnau Peña, Sergio Martínez Sabiote and Samuel Zahinos Muñoz.
