Villarreal CF's intellectually-disabled team (EDI) will take part in the second phase of LaLiga Genuine in Seville this weekend

The passion of LaLiga Genuine is back! Villarreal CF's intellectually-disabled team (EDI) will travel to Seville this Friday to take part in the second phase of the part in the most socially responsible, integrative and pioneering competition in the world, which was based in Tarragona during the first phase.

The second phase of the tournament will take place in the Andalusian capital, with Real Betis and Sevilla FC as hosts. The Yellow Submarine will go travel to the former's training facilities to face UD Las Palmas (12pm CET) and RC Deportivo La Coruña (7pm CET) on Saturday. Their participation in this stage will end on Sunday, when they face CA Osasuna at 11am CET.

Before heading to Seville for this exciting challenge, the Yellows, coached by Sergi Campos, Natalia Miró, Sonia Alcón and Ana Roig, will travel wit the following squad: Víctor Boulouden, Javier Ruiz, Nerea Gil, Abraham Martínez, Eduardo Hernández, Eric Villegas, Oriol Mezquita, Juan Ramón Lara, Sergio Rodríguez, Mireia Rodríguez, Daniel Ortiz, Víctor Parraga, Eduardo-Gabriel Stanciu, Miguel Ángel Archela, José Manuel Vicent, Iván Mengual.

As well as Villarreal, in this phase of LaLiga Genuine in Seville, the following teams will take part: CD Tenerife, Fundación Málaga CF, Real Betis, RCD Mallorca, Fundación Club Atlético Madrid, UD Almería, Real Oviedo, Fundación Albacete, Deportivo Alavés, SD Eibar Fundazioa, Córdoba CF, Fundación Futbol Base Reus, Real Sporting de Gijón, CA Osasuna, UD Las Palmas, RC Deportivo la Coruña and Granada CF.

The next stages will be in other parts of Spain: the third phase will be hosted in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will host the third phase (27th-29th March), Gijón (24th-26th April). The final phase will take place in Bilbao (5th-7th June).

The competition is played as an eight-a-side tournament, in matches with four quarters, each lasting ten minutes. LaLiga Genuine doesn't only count the sporting results, but also the positive sporting actions shown during the match. Each matchday, teams will get points rewarding sporting behaviour, and fair play from players, fans and coaches.
