Villarreal defender Alberto Moreno appeared in front of the media this lunchtime to speak about his return to the pitch, after leaving the injury that had kept him on the sidelines in recent weeks. He was very happy to put on the shirt again: "I'm a bit tired after Sunday's game, as I hadn't competed for a while. It was a shame to not get the victory, but on a personal level I'm happy to return to the team and be in a good place physically again."
With the injuries behind him, the Yellows No.18 recognised that he wants to get minutes behind him on the pitch: "I came to Villarreal to give my best and to be an important player. The injuries haven't allowed me to do that up to now. I hope this is my last one. I want to start to get minutes and game time behind me to help my team-mates."
After the defeat to Atlético Madrid, the team is completely focused in getting a good result this Sunday against Athletic Club: "It's true that they're not going through their best moment of the season, but they're a good team. They have great players, especially up front. They're a very competitive team who play football well. Their fans push them a lot. It's a tough ground to visit but we're ready to go head to head with any team."
