Villarreal women's first-team player Iris Domínguez visited the CEIP Josep Iturbi school in Burriana this Wednesday, thanks to the 'A Star In Your School' activity, as part of the Endavant Club Groguet initiative. The midfielder has a great time with the pupils, who acted as journalists for the day, asking all sorts of questions to the midfielder in a fun 'press conference.'
During her time there, the footballer shared a number of fun anecdotes about her experience both on and off the pitch during her time in the world of football. What's more, after all the questions, there was time for a kickabout. A day that will live long in the memory.
The 'A Star In Your School' initiative, part of Endavant Club Groguet, has been running for a number of years. This season, Carlos Bacca and María Sanjuán went to Avel·lí Corma in Moncofa; Manu Trigueros and Naiara Ves visited CEIP José Soriano in Vila-real, Sergio Asenjo and Nazaret Segura went to the Colegio Liceo in Benicàssim, Pau Torres and María Colonques visited CEIP Pascual Nácher in Vila-real; Alberto Moreno and Jessico Collado went to the CPEE La Panderola in Vila-real, while today was Iris Dominguez's turn visiting the CEIP Josep Iturbi in Burriana.
From here on, footballers from both the men's and women's first teams will go to different schools to get to know the youngsters. As well as the visits from the players, the schools, in the province of Castellón, can enjoy a free training session by Yellows Academy coaches and a guided tour of the Estadio de la Cerámica.
