Villarreal midfielder Vicente Iborra appeared in front of the press this lunchtime to analyse the current goings-on surrounding the Yellows, who this Tuesday found out their opponents in the Copa del Rey Round of 32: "As in the previous ties, regardless of the league our opponents play in, we know it'll be a very tough game. Girona are a team who were recently in the top flight and who kept a large amount of that team together. It's true that they've changed their manager and some situations have stopped them being at the top of the table, but that doesn't mean it won't be a complicated tie."
Furthermore, the Valencian footballer hailed the new format of the competition, which encourages surprises: "It's a very attractive format, as anything can happen. There is no margin for error and you have to take the matches very seriously. Girona deserve our respect. I think we have a squad capable of going far in the cup, but we shouldn't think beyond the match in Montilivi."
The Yellows No.10 also looked back on the win at Montilivi last season, one of the most important wins that secured survival: "Winning in Girona last season meant more than three points. They were an opponent around us and we were capable of getting the win by being a team, fighting together and knowing when to dig in when necessary."
