Villarreal CF and Málaga CF have reached an agreement for the transfer of Javi Ontiveros, who will play for the Yellow Submarine for the next five seasons. The new Yellows footballer will train tomorrow (Wednesday) for first time with his new team-mates and will be unviled as a Villarreal player, after the training session, at 1pm CEST at the Traning Ground press room in front of the media.
Javi Ontiveros Parra (Marbella, 09/09/97) is a talented right-footed midfielder who can play on either wing. He is skilful, direct and has a dangerous shot. Formed in the Málaga CF youth ranks, Ontiveros made his debut on 21st November 2015 against RCD Espanyol.
In the 2017/18 season, he went on loan to Real Valladolid and last season he was excellent with Málaga in Spain’s second tier, scoring five goals and providing four assists in the 34 games he played. H also was involved in the promotion play-off, with the team from La Rosaleda.
Ontiveros has represented Spain at youth level. He played twice for Spain U17s and five times the U19s, scoring two goals.
