Into the final! Villarreal U19s beat Sevilla FC in the semi-finals of the Copa de Campeones and will face Real Zaragoza in the final (12pm CEST). Miguel Ángel Tena's side came out victorious thanks to goals from Fer Niño, Álex Baena and Juan Carlos Arana.
The Yellows warned of their intentions early on with a Niño shot that went into the side netting, and another right-footed effort from Baena, which was saved by the Sevilla goalkeeper. They opened the scoring in the 14th minute, when Jorge Galdón crossed the ball from the right, and Baena put it on a plate for Niño, who only had to put in into the back of the net from two meters out (0-1).
The second goal for the Yellows came in the 25th minute. Baena robbed the ball, put it on to his stronger foot and fired home with his right foot. The ball flew past the man in the Sevilla goal (2-0).
Sevilla improved after the break, but Villarreal held on and killed the game off by making it 3-0 in added time through Arana. The final of the Copa de Campeones will take place this Saturday at Balaídos (12pm, Footters). Villarreal U19s will face Real Zaragoza, who beat Celta Vigo 0-2 in their semi-final.
