Villarreal midfielder appeared in front of the press to analyse the current goings-on regarding the Yellows, who play a 'final' against SD Eibar at the Estadio de la Cerámica this Sunday (6:30pm CEST).
The Asturian footballer underlined the importance of the match against the Basque side, as, should the Yellows win, they would confirm their place in the top flight of Spanish football next season: "It's a key match where we have the chance to confirm staying up in front of our fans. It will be a tough match who will make it hard for us. We are conscious of what we are playing and hopefully we can get a victory to achieve our objective."
Totally focussed on beating Eibar, the Yellows squad is approaching the game in a focused, but relaxed way: "It's in our own hands. We don't have to look beyond what happens at the Estadio de la Cerámica. We're working hard. Hopefully we can play well and make our people happy."
The No.19 did, however, point out that the Basque team are a tough rival: "Eibar are a very tough opponent who are hard to beat. We need to play quickly and beat their line of pressure as soon as possible. We must show personality, be brave and give our all in every piece of place. We have a lot to play for, but we can't let that catch up with us during the match."
Cazorla explained that this Sunday's match is the perfect time to achieve their aim: "A few months ago, we'd have taken being in this situation. Now is the moment. The last match at home, in front of our fans. We've suffered together for a long time. We want to win the match and confirm survival."
Finally, the Spain international called on the Yellows fans to fill the Estadio de la Cerámica, so everyone together can confirm the club's place in the Spanish top flight. "The fans have responded throughout the year, they know what this match means. Having them at our side is crucial for us. We thank them for the support they're giving us and we ask them to make one final push this Sunday. Hopefully we can give them something to cheer on after the suffering of this year."
