The Yellows goalkeeper kept a clean sheet against RCD Espanyol at the Estadio de la Cerámica

Villarreal CF goalkeeper, Andrés Fernández, has also put a lock on the Yellows goal. The Submarine keeper put in a magnificent performance against RCD Espanyol at the Estadio de la Cerámica on the weekend, keeping a clean sheet. His spectacular save from Jurado’s shot in the first half of the match was key to the final score (2-0). Villarreal remain as the team to have conceded the fewest goals in the LaLiga Santander, having let in only 19 goals in 26 league matches.

"In this team we all give our maximum in every match and this was key to picking up the three points against Espanyol", Andrés commented.

The Yellows number 13 also said: "This league is very competitive and so we know we have to give our all in every game. I’m happy about the win, the other statistics are all well and good but as a player you feel best, and the fans are happiest, when you win. Winning is the most important thing and this team always wants to win".
