Villarreal’s Colombian striker, Rafael Santos Borré, has been called up for his country for two Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying matches against Paraguay and Uruguay.
Colombia will face 'Chiqui' Arce’s Paraguay on 6th October away at the Defensores del Chaco de Asunción stadium and subsequently, will host the Uruguay national team managed by Óscar Tabárez on 11th October in Barranquilla.
With Santos Borré, there are now eight players set to go on international duty
The Yellow Submarine squad has eight players called up to their national teams, as Santos Borré joins Sansone (Italy), Bakambu (RD Congo), Castillejo (Spain U21), Jonathan (Mexico), Jokic (Slovenia), Musacchio (Argentina) and Rukavina (Serbia). Likewise, Villarreal B team defender, Edgar Ié, has also been called up for Portugal U21s.
