Villarreal CF and FC Porto have come to an agreement for the loan of footballers Andrés Fernández (Goalkeeper) and Jose Angel (Left Back), who will play the 2016/17 season at the club. In addition, Villarreal is also keeping a buying stake for both players at the end of the season.
Jose Angel Valdes Diaz (Gijón, 5th September 1989) was formed in the ranks of the Sporting Gijón academy until he made his debut for the first team in the 2008/09 campaign (59 matches, 1 goal). In 2011 he signed for AC Roma (31 matches) and was later transferred to Real Sociedad (42 matches, 1 goal) where he stayed for two campaigns. After his stay in Real Sociedad he moved to FC Porto in the summer of 2014, where he has played until today (29 matches).
He is a naturally left footed player with speed, agility and a great ability to get forward. One of his main strengths is his crossing ability, making him a very complete player.
Andrés Fernández Moreno (Murcia, 17th December 1986) is a real globetrotter. Despite his beginnings in Murcia and Tenerife, he first acquired his professional status in the Mallorca reserve team, later moving on to the Osasuna reserve side. After some notable performances for the reserves, he made the step up to SD Huesca in the 2010/11 season (33 matches), then returned to play for the Osasuna first team in the Spanish First Division (115 matches).
With the relegation of the Reds, he signed for FC Porto in the 2014/15 season and, in the summer of 2015, he was loaned to Granada CF, who he represented for all of last season (37 matches). Andrés is a tall goalkeeper (190cm) and has good reflexes, excellent in one on one situations and in the air.
