Villarreal CF and Real Madrid CF have come to a transfer agreement for the Russian footballer Denis Cheryshev, who will wear Yellow again for the next five seasons (until 2021). This will be Cheryshev’s second chapter with the Submarine, as he already played under Marcelino in the 2014/15 season, playing 40 games in the league (26), Copa del Rey (6) and UEFA Europa League (8). Cheryshev scored 7 goals and gave 10 assists in what was a spectacular season.
Cheryshev stands out for his great technical ability, speed and ball control, making him a very influential player. The Russian joined the Real Madrid Academy in 2002. In 2013 he went on loan to Sevilla FC and in the 2014/15 season he played for Villarreal CF. Last season he played for Real Madrid and was then loaned to Valencia CF for the remainder of the season.
Welcome back Cheryshev!
