The Qatari forward Akram Afif will be officially presented as a new Villarreal CF player this Thursday. The event, aimed at the media, will take place in the Press Room at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) at 11:30am CET and will be attended by Villarreal CF Vice President, José Manuel Llaneza.
It is planned that Akram Afif will play a part in the friendly match against Novelda this Thursday (8:30pm CET, Campo La Magdalena) which will serve as a tribute to Mario.
The Qatari striker is one of the most promising young players in his country, which he has represented at all youth levels until making his debut for the Senior National team at just 19 years old. He was developed in the ranks of the Aspire Academy in Qatar, then in 2013 he played for Al Sadd and in 2014 was loaned to KAS Eupen, in Belgium’s Second Division, for two seasons. This past season he scored six goals in the Proximus League and achieved promotion to the Jupiler League, the First Division, with KAS Eupen.
