‘LaLiga Promises’ returns to Vila-real. For the second consecutive year, Villarreal CF’s sporting facilities will host the prestigious tournament that will showcase the nation’s best level of youth football. This time, the XXV edition of the National PAMESA LaLiga Promises Tournament will be held at the new PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground facility (Ciutat Esportiva PAMESA Cerámica) from 2nd to 5th June.
The competition will be inaugurated on Thursday 2nd June and the first matches will take place on the morning of Friday 3rd June. The grand Final will be disputed on Sunday 5th June. In this, the XXV edition of the National PAMESA LaLiga Promises Tournament held in Vila-real, the U12 teams from the nation’s First Division will participate in a competition that is an authentic showcase of the nation’s best U12 Academy football. It should be recalled that entry to the tournament is free of charge for all the competition’s matches.
Official presentation, this Thursday in Madrid
The official presentation of the XXV National PAMESA LaLiga Promises Tournament held in Vila-real will take place this Thursday 19th May at 12:30pm CET on Madrid’s channel SER (Cadena SER). Fernando Roig Negueroles, Villarreal CF CEO, will attend the event on behalf of the club. The tournament is organized by the ‘Fundación El Larguero’ and LaLiga, and also counts on the collaboration of the ‘Cadena SER’ and ‘BeIN Sports’ channels.
A resounding success and an unforgettable experience
In last year’s edition of the tournament, played at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva de Miralcamp), the Villarreal U12s finished in a commendable fourth place, with Sevilla FC taking the title. The Yellows won the trophy for Best Manager, that went to Guillermo Oriol, and Best Player, awarded to Rodrigo Alonso. Football aside, it was the fans that also played a key role in the previous edition of the tournament at the Villarreal CF Training Ground. Thousands of fans from all over Spain filled the Miralcamp facilities. The climax came with the grand Final of the tournament, when more than 3,000 people packed the Mini Estadi to enjoy the match between Barcelona and Sevilla.
