The defender from Vila-real has extended his contract for two further seasons (it was due to end in 2022)
Villarreal CF and centre-back Pau Francisco Torres have agreed a contract extension that will see the young defender ties to the club until June 2024. Pau’s contract was set to end in 2022, so it has been extended for two more years.
The press conference to officially unveil this renewal will take place this Thursday in the press room at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) after the morning training session at the Mini Estadi, which will start at 10:30am. The footballer from Vila-real will be accompanied by a member of the Villarreal CF hierarchy.
Pau Francisco Torres (16/01/1997, Vila-real) has worn yellow all his life. He arrived at the Yellows Academy aged just five and has progressed until he reached the first team this season, where he has performed at an excellent level. Last season, he was loaned to Málaga CF in Segunda División. He has also represented Spain U21s, debuting on 25th March 2019 against Austria in a friendly.
In the Yellows Academy, the defender won the División de Honor with the U19s (Juvenil A), and was involved in a promotion play-off from Segunda B with Villarreal B.
His heart is yellow.
