The Catalan shot-stopper arrives at the Yellow Submarine from DUX Logroño
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Montse Quesada to sign for the club, and she will defend the Villarreal Women’s goal next season in Primera RFEF, the second category of Spanish women’s football. The Catalan goalkeeper arrives at the club from DUX Logroño.
Youthful presence in the Yellows goal
Montserrat Quesada Carrasco (15/04/2001, Sabadell, Barcelona), who will compete for the No.1 spot with Carmen Carbonell, who recently signed a new contract with the club, already has a wide range of experience in spite of her youth.
Having progressed through the youth system at CF Damn, Montse Quesada signed for RCD Espanyol B in the 2019/20 season. One year later, at just 18 years of age, she made her Primera División debut with the Espanyol first team, and made a total of three appearances that season.
Three seasons later, she left Espanyol and made the move to Levante Las Planas, where she played one match in Liga F in the 2022/23 season. Last season, she played for DUX Logroño in Primera RFEF, before signing for the Yellow Submarine ahead of the 2024/25 season.
