The captains of the clubs that are part of the campaign ‘Juegan ellas, ganamos todo’, organised by Teika, have received a replica of themselves in a sculpture format

Vending machine company Teika, leader in the Region of Valencia in sponsorship of women’s sports, has given a total of 13 sportswomen, mostly the captains of the clubs that are part of the “Juegan ellas, ganamos todos” initiative, have received a personalised ‘ninot fallero’ (Fallas figure). Sergi Sánchez, the Fallas artist of the ‘Regala un Ninot’ action, has put a lot of love and care in carving each one of the figures.

A small representation of the Yellows, led by Villarreal Women’s captain Lara Mata, went to the headquarters of the Falla l’Antiga de Campanar yesterday afternoon. Alongside the Yellows player were: Sara Monforte, Villarreal Women head coach; Patri Traver, women’s football co-ordinator; and Marcos Senna, current ambassador of the club.

Lara Mata was very positive about Teika’s initiative: “It was a very nice gesture. Teika always surprises us and, on this occasion, they did once more. I am very grateful that they have taken us into account. I had never imagined becoming a ‘ninot’.”

The Submarine captain is also grateful for the support of the vending machine company: “The truth is that I only have positive words for Teika. Despite the distance, I think that they always support us, push us and give us a lot of visibility; something that is very important for women’s sport.”
