The most prestigious youth football tournament in the country will celebrate two editions this year at the PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground

LaLiga Promises is back! The prestigious 12-a-side tournament will return to Vila-real. Once more, the town will be the epicentro of youth football thanks to Villarreal CF, who will host two editions of the tournament at the PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA Cerámica).

The first edition will congregate in Vila-real the best U12 teams nationally from 28th to 30th May. The teams, made up of boys born in 2009, will hope to put in a good performance in the tournament that excites all football lovers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year this important tournament did not take place. Youngsters born in 2008, who are currently U13s, will not be left out, and LaLiga and Fundación José Ramón de la Moreno have worked hard to make sure that the tournament that didn’t take place last year will happen from 4th to 6th June

The return of LaLiga Promises to Vila-real has become a tradition, after the tournament was hosted in 2016 (Villarreal CF Training Ground) and 2017, 2018 and 2019 (PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground).

The clubs taking part in both editions of LaLiga Promises are 20 clubs from LaLiga and one from Segunda: CA Osasuna, Deportivo Alavés, FC Barcelona, Granada CF, Real Betis, Atlético de Madrid, Real Sociedad, SD Huesca, SD Eibar, Valencia CF, Elche CF, Levante UD, RCD Espanyol, Sevilla FC, Real Valladolid, Cádiz CF, Getafe CF, RC Celta de Vigo, Real Madrid and Villarreal.

Villarreal, a host that enjoys the tournament

Villarreal’s teams only have one aim, and that is have a good time and a unique experience. Both the U12s and the U13s are preparing for a tournament which the Yellow Submarine has won twice, in 2007 and 2016, with the latter being as host at the PAMESA Cerámica Training Ground.

The U12s from Villarreal CF (2009) are in Group C alongside Real Valladolid, Sevilla FC, RCD Espanyol and Getafe CF. The Yellows will face Sevilla FC first. The Submarine’s U13s (2008) are part of Group D alongside FC Barcelona, RCD Mallorca, Levante UD and Getafe CF. Their first opponents will be RCD Mallorca.

From 28th May, Vila-real will be the focal point of hundreds of players from the best academies in the country, who will show their talent on the biggest stage.
