Villarreal CF is collaborating for the second consecutive year with the Juegos Castellonenses. This Thursday, the Estadio de la Cerámica hosted the presentation of the sixth edition of this multi-sports and recreational competition for older adults in the province of Castellón, which will tour 28 towns and villages and whose final will be held this year in Torreblanca during the month of May.
The club’s collaboration is part of the Endavant Província initiative, part of the sustainability and CSR project, which aims to promote tourism in Castellón’s municipalities, seeking to boost the province’s economic and cultural activity.
The Juegos Castellonenses aim to create a space for friendship, integration, socialisation, learning and fun in a healthy sporting and cultural competition through traditional games and which provides the opportunity to improve the quality of life, physical and emotional health of the elderly.
This fun competition is divided into two main areas: a sporting one consisting of five disciplines (adapted pentathlon, petanque, hiking, paddle tennis and choreography) and another of traditional games, which includes guiñote, tir al pot, dominoes and singing.
